What is victors goal in creating the creature?in what ways does he succeed and fail

Victor wanted to dabble in the forbidden arts. He wanted to experience God like powers of creation. He succeeded in creating life but failed in his responsibilities that come with creating life. He abandoned the creature leaving it to wander without guidance or purpose.
