Frankenstein
Frankenstein
There is a sense of otherness about the monster yet, at the same time, he reflects humanity. It is a paradox that is extremely effective. There is an innocence about a monster that seeks to understand his tormentors and the people he torments. In many ways the monster becomes a character foil of sorts bringing light the splendid and awful traits of mankind. The monster is an outside observer stuck in the role of disdain and fear.
