Lindberg, M.D. One of the exhibits is the Carrel-Lindbergh Perfusion Pump (1935), which is a "mechanical pump for circulating blood through the body of a patient while an operation on
the heart was being undertaken," invented by Charles Lindberg (aviator) in conjunction with Alexis Carrel.
