Freak and Maxwell find Loretta Lee's purse in the storm drain. They go to return it, but Loretta calls Iggy Lee, who is her husband. After denying to answer the question that Iggy asked, they are a bit beaten up. They answer the question and then, Loretta remembers Max. They were an old friend of Max's dad (who is now in jail), Killer Kane. Freak finds out the truth about Max's dad for the first time. He plays cool about it, and they are pushed out of the place.
