When we first encounter Vincent in the film, how is it apparent to us that he may not be who he seems?

The first scene is Vincent as a baby being born by natural birth with all the physical and emotional drawbacks that we all have. Most babies are born through genetic engineering. We don't find out about Vincent's incredible spirit until a few scenes later.
