Why does the director have Vincent admit his deception (that he is not Jerome Morrow) at the same time that the Mission Director’s murdered body was discovered?

I think the two are related. The Director of the launch program was threatening to kill the launch and Vincent's dream. Vincent comes clean at the same time. The irony is poignant.
