In chapter one what do you think of the evacuees what are your impressions
My first impression of the evacuees is one of sadness and sympathy. These children were torn from their homes and separated from their parents in the midst of a war. They were frightened, and full of anxiety. Some were poorly cared for and hungry.... others were simply shell shocked. This relocation was traumatic for the children but integral to their safety. The city was not safe.
