Dickens was a master at creating names for his characters. In Great Expectations we have Ms. Havisham, think have and her desire for Pip to love Estella (a sham).

We also have Magwitch (magician/witch) doing magic in Pip's life.

The name Estella means star...... she's always just beyond reach.
