When he was in the graveyard he talks about how lonely his life was as his parent and other siblings other than his elder sister died and later in the story he gets over that as another change would be he used to be timid and got scared quite easily and could not stand up to himself for anything, later in the story like the part when after he finds his benefactor and goes to talk about what cruel thing Miss Havisham did to him which was make him think that she was the benefactor and he thought she did that so that he could be with Estella. At this part he gets angry speaks up for himself telling what wrong thing she did and telling estella that he loves her.
