How does imprisonment play a part in this novel--not just the convict’s imprisonment, but also Miss Havisham’s and other characters whose daily lives seem prisons?

Imprisonment is a major theme in the novel. Magwitch in imprisoned for a good portion of the novel, but his actions and purpose serve to change the life others. Pip is stuck in the marshes, but he is also given the chance to escape that imprisonment, something that is important for him. Miss Havisham suffers self-imposed imprisonment.... she has set her own life course. Estella is imprisoned inside the woman Miss Havisham has created, and she doesn't know how to escape.
