Jaggers has repeatedly told Pip he is staying out of his life, and only taking any interest in him at all because he is paid to. Do you think this is the right approach to take? How does it affect Pip?

This question calls for your opinion, there is no right or wrong answer. In my opinion, Jagger's relationship with Pip is purely professional. They are not good friends, they aren't co-workers. Jagger's has been hired to do a jab, and he has done what he has been paid for. To apprise Pip of things that were confidential, things between he and his client had agreed upon, would have been a brwach of his contract.... the man on whose behalf he was working. Thus, Jagger's actions are honest and appropriate.

Pip is very unhappy about Jagger's refusal to expose certain facts. This might possibly be a result of Pip's delusion that he knew his benefactor and what he was being groomed for.... all the more disappointing because he was completely wrong.
