Biddy is a kind, intelligent girl Pip's age who works for Mr. Wopsle's great aunt at the school. Later, she comes to work for Joe taking care of Mrs. Joe Gargery. Biddy is down to earth and empathetic. Biddy becomes a representation of everything that Pip should have been looking for in a girl rather than pining away for Estella.
