Pip changes immensely throughout the novel. From a small orphan he is innocent to a boy who's life starts to take many twists and turns. This all begins when pip steals for the convict. He is full of guilt and is afraid that he will eventually be caught. His fears get the best of him so much that he holds on the table so hard in hope that his guilt goes away. We can see from this that stealing and lying is not in pips nature and this is therefore shown by his guilt that takes over his conscience and changes the way he thinks. This is only one part of how he changes.
