The more time that Pip spends with Estella and Miss. Havisham, the more distant he grows from his family. He begins to be ashamed of Joe, and is angry at the apprenticeship he now need to fulfil under Joe's tutelage.
Chapter 12
Great Expectations
Chapter 14- nothing much happens here of note; Pip continues to work as Joe's apprentice and isn't a very happy camper.
