Great Expectations chapter 43
Great Expectations chapter 43
Pip returns to his home town and, at the town inn, meets Drummle, who is obviously courting Estella. The two pass rude words to each other, then they depart on their own ways. It is unpleasant because Drummle is the man (or type of man) Estella had been groomed for all her life.
