I think Miss Havisham blames Pip for believing her to be a benevolent old lady. She says that she was never supposed to be kind,
"Who am I," cried Miss Havisham, striking her stick upon the floor and flashing into wrath so suddenly that Estella glanced up at her in surprise, "who am I, for God's sake, that I should be kind?"
Estella tells Pip that she is to be married to Bentley Drummle.
