Why doesn't Pip like soap?

Theres a part in Chapter 11, when Pip first meets Jaggers going up the stairs, and he seems to to have a dislike towards the way he smells of soap.

For some reason, Pip is put off by the fact Jaggers uses scented soap. Possibly, he doesn't like it because he's never been exposed to scented soap at home. Maybe he simply doesn't like the scent. We are not told, however, the exact reason.
