when did grendel first go to heorot?

This happens in the beginning of the poem (lines 1-300). Basically Grendel hates all the noise and partying going on at Heorot Hall. You know loud noise, music,songs about God and creation......On a non-specified night Grendel attacks and kills thirty men. That is Grendel's first visit but yes, he comes back!
