Gulliver starts criticizing Brobdingnagian education . Comment.

From the text:

The learning of this people is very defective, consisting only in morality, history, poetry, and mathematics, wherein they must be allowed to excel. But the last of these is wholly applied to what may be useful in life, to the improvement of agriculture, and all mechanical arts; so that among us, it would be little esteemed. And as to ideas, entities, abstractions, and transcendentals, I could never drive the least conception into their heads.

Gulliver finds their education lacking and stinted. It seems the people are taught enough to get by and kept from attempts to excel, satiate curiosity, or create.

The system of education is Brobdingnag is extremely limited. They are well versed when it comes to studying theoretical, factual subjects such as history. They're also very well mannered and have a good set of morals and values. When it comes to making advancements in subjects such as science as mathematics they aren't developed.
