The emperor of Lilliput is a satire on the autocratic rulers comment

Many critics feel that the Lilliputian Emperor represents the King of England at the time and, by extension, other European monarchy. Gulliver paints these rulers as egotistical, self-absorbed blowhard who is easily manipulated by his ministers.
