What happened on Gulliver's ship that caused him to end up in the land of the Houyhmhmns?

During the course of the voyage, a number of Gulliver's men died, thus, he was forced to recruit men from to complete the voyage. These men, unbeknownst to Gulliver were bucaneers, who proceeded to mutiny. Gulliver was set ashore.
