Hamlet’s conduct with his mother is also probably repulsive to most readers. Their encounter in scene four is full of even more ripe and fetid language of corrupt sexuality. They spar with words that have double meanings filled with veiled accusations,

QUEEN
Hamlet, thou hast thy father much offended.

      HAMLET
Mother, you have my father much offended.

     QUEEN
Come, come, you answer with an idle tongue.

      HAMLET
Go, go, you question with a wicked tongue.

      QUEEN
  Why, how now, Hamlet!
