Act 4, scenes 4 and 5. How does the King convince Laertes not to blame him for Laertes’s family’s state?

He says that he is in mourning for his father's death. The King blames everything on Hamlet, Hamlet did kill Polonius after all....by mistake, and offers up a quick way for revenge.
