Discuss Shakespearer's incredible ability to contrast what is with what seems to be.

Much of Hamlet depends on people believing the illusion of courtly life. It would seem that Hamlet sr. died of natural causes, Claudius is grieving and if Hamlet would just get on board with the new King and queen, everything will be alright. We find out that "something is rotten in the state of Denmark". Indeed what seems to be is not what is. Hamlet Sr. has been murdered. His brother Claudius, who killed him, has taken the throne and has jumped into the sheets with the queen. The play, "the Mouse Trap” that Hamlet puts on is not for entertainment rather than to fish out the murderous Claudius. The Ghost is not a scary Ghost but a sad one. Hamlet acts crazy but is he really? Rosencrantz and Guildenstern don’t know what the heck is really going on. They still don't know when they get their heads chopped off in England. So, Hamlet is a play full of appearances vs reality; the dichotomy is pretty interesting to think about.
