Hamlet

This is an interesting assumption. Unfortunately I do not know if Shakespeare had this in mind when he wrote his famous play. This statement certainly makes sense in a literal way. I think there is more to consider. Hamlet, however, is a tragic hero so the "sky falling on his head" is largely a nightmare of his own making. The hero is trapped because he cannot reconcile his own emotions with what is happening around him. It is not so much the situation that has trapped him rather his own tragic flaws that prevent him from a more positive resolution. That is Hamlet's real prison and he did not know enough to get out of it.
