In the following quote, Hamlet displays his lack of trust in himself when he cites that he is in need of more evidence. He says that he cannot simply depend of the words of a ghost.

Out of my weakness and my melancholy, As he is very potent with such spirits, Abuses me to damn me. I’ll have grounds More relative than this.
