Hamlet focuses on the changes in Claudius' behavior that are different from the way Hamlet Sr. acted - old Hamlet was noble and a good role model.

When he is drunk asleep, or in his rage, Or in th' incestuous pleasure of his bed, At game a-swearing, or about some act That has no relish of salvation in ’t— Then trip him, that his heels may kick at heaven, And that his soul may be as damned and black As hell, whereto it goes. This description above shows Claudius as one who drinks too much, is often enraged, is engaged in an incestuous relationship with Gertrude (by their definition), and is performing immoral acts such as swearing or gaming. At that point, Hamlet wishes to send him to hell when he kills him.
