Hamlet is transfixed by the Ghost. The supernatural afterlife is right up Hamlet's alley. Hamlet follows the ghost despite the inherent danger of being alone with a spirit. Hamlet even threatens his friends when they attempt to stop him, "By heaven, I'll make a ghost of him that lets me." After the ghost's visit, Hamlet vows to carry the ghost's request out at any price.
