What does the ghost tell Hamlet? Why does he visit him? What does he expect from Hamlet?

The ghost tells Hamlet that he was murdered by Claudius. Claudius, according to the ghost, murdered Hamlet Sr. to obtain the throne and the love of Gertrude. He visits Hamlet because he cannot rest until his murder has been avenged and he expects Hamlet to seek revenge for the murder.
