Hamlet

Why does Hamlet go off on his mother when she suggests that his father’s death “seems” to have a particularly great effect upon him?

Hamlet goes on on Gertrude because of her lack of sadness and mourning. She shows no sense of loss..... no sadness at her husband's death, no mourning for the man who was his father.
