why is hamlet in black when he fist appears on stage? what does he have "within" that "passes show"? how does hamlet describe his uncle in comparison with his father? how does he describe the relationship of claudius and gertrude? is his view biased?

Hamlet is in mourning for his father.

"Hamlet describes his uncle as a pale imitation to the king, "My father's brother, but no more like my father. Than I to Hercules..."

Hamlet pretty much calls Gertude and Claudius an incestuous union. I think Hamlet goes a little heavy on the "my mother is a whore" thing but then again, Hamlet really liked his mother!
