Haroun and the Sea of Stories
what was the answer to the question "whats the point of stories that arent even true" in the book haroun and the sea of stories
answer
answer
The point is that they make a point. They are stories of learning (meant to teach you), and they work with adults as well as children. That's why Jesus taught in parables........... that's why oral tradition throughout history has used parables; they're a teaching tool. They make a point without an actual lecture, they spark out imaginations. So that's the point......... the stories don't need to be true in order to make a point.
