On page 93, it says,”...he must try to understand the reason, he must change to fully understand the reason himself or he would not make it.” What is it that Brian feels he change? Why is this an important change?

Brian is attempting to make sense of his surroundings. By understanding the actions and death of the turtle, Brian also remembers things that were tucked away in his mind..... the turtles that lay eggs in the sand, the eggs, and ulitmately, food.
