the citizens of Hiroshima had heard rumors that the Americans were going to drop a bomb. why do you think they stayed in Hiroshima? what would you have done?

In my opinion, a lot of people stayed because they simply didn't believe it would happen. Others likely stayed because they had nowhere else to go. I'd like to think I'd have enough sense to get out of the city if we were threated , and I was aware of it. I cannot think of any excuse to stay.
