does Ezparanza and her mother have similar ideas on how to live there lives

I think that both Esparanza and her mother wants something more out of life. THey find the house on mango street as ""small and red with tight steps in front and windows so small you'd think they were holding their breath...everybody has to share a bedroom". Mama dreams of a house with "white with trees around it, a great big yard and grass growing without a fence." Ironically they both still see this dream house on Mango street.Mother is intelligent and talented. She wishes she had done more with her life while Esperanza still has this hope.
