House on Mango Street
Why is the house on Mango an improvement over the narrator's other homes?
in what way does it fall short of her "dream" house?

The house on Mango Street is an improvement because the family actually owns their own home. It falls short of the narrator's dream home because it is unattractive, it only has one bathroom, the yard is small, and the children still have to share bedrooms.
