Chapter 2

Once inside the cave he unpacks his bundle of belongings, placing its contents carefully where he can see them, and thinks about the camp from which he came (see "Quotes," p. 39 - 40) and what advantages and skills he has, including the various languages he learned from listening and talking to the other prisoners in the camp. David also knows how to keep quiet and out of sight, another skill he learned at the camp. David also knew how to ration food.
