Chapter 8

David has been on the move foor a long time with no rest. Narration then jumps ahead to David's arrival in Denmark, an arrival resulting from his having gotten rides with several drivers, one of whom, out of sympathy for his worn, tired, desperate appearance, concealed David in the back of his truck when they were about to cross the border.
