(Chapter 8) How does David locate his mother? And what happens when he arrives?

David locates his mother's name and address in the phone book. When he goes to the door and rings the bell, he immediately starts to introduce himself...... something that's totally unnecessary, as she already knows who he is. She says, "David ... my son David."
