What did the monsoons do? Why do you think this natural disater was so much more destructive than if it had happened when there was no conflict to precede it?

Monsoons are extremely heavy rains. Monsoons make going places very difficult. Conflict only compounds the problems. Basic needs in a city are not taken care of.
