In chapter 1: A Daughter is Born - what are the expectations for the Sweat Valley of Pakistan? In what ways do Malala and her father's attitudes about the role of girls differ from those of the general society?

In the Sweat Valley it is expected that girls should not be educated or go to school. The Taliban sees the education of the girls as a threat. Malala's father founded the school, Malala found the school to be a magical place. Most of the girls who attended the school wanted to be doctors. Malala wants every girl to be able to go to school.
