Who is Malala?

Malala is the author of the memoir, I Am Malala. She grew up in Swat Valley, Pakistan and attended school throughout her entire childhood. Because of her father's example, Malala became famous for speaking out in favor of girls' education. When she was fifteen years old, the Taliban shot Malala in response to her activism.
