Describe Bailey's relationship with Joyce? Chapters 18-21

Joyce was much older than Bailey (four years) and far more experienced. Their relationship is sexual in nature, though they never have intercourse. Bailey puts himself in a precarious position when he begins stealing from the store for Joyce..... this goes on for awhile until Joyce dumps him and runs away with a man she met in the store.
