Does Hot and Cold Blood have a moral or attempt to teach its readers a lesson of sorts?

I'm sorry, this is a short-answer forum desgined for text specific questions. In my opinion, Fitzgeralds lesson or moral is to follow your heart... to do what you believe is right.... not to allow someone else to change you. Be yourself.
