This questions pertains to the the character in the book "In Cold Blood".
Perry had a difficult life.He never went beyond grade three. He was abandoned by his family and abused by nuns. He dreams of a bird saving him from his abusers and bullies. Perry also seems to have homo-erotic tendencies which he reviles in himself and society.
