Why, dispite Dick's betrayel, does Perry miss his companionshio?

Really, Perry had nobody else in his life that was constant like Dick.

Perry, throughout the book, has had some of his weaknesses exposed by Capote. Some of these being that he is a softer character, for instance, when he made Dick pull over to pick up the boy and his grandfather. Because of this, and Dicks continued companionship, he starts to miss him.
