Describe two of the horrors Saul sees at St. Jerome’s. How do they affect his character?

Saul witnesses other children take their own live by cutting their wrists or drowning themselves. He is horrified by the things that he sees, and as a result, he must isolate.... cut himself off... all in the hopes of becoming “void of feeling.”
