Saul finally makes the Toronto Maple Leaf's farm tea, The Marlies. Although Saul is on the team, he isn't accepted. The players are indifferent to him which means they really don't care. They will use Saul to further their own career or destroy him or toss him aside. There is no intimacy, no magic, no camaraderie like Saul experienced in the native league.
