How does into the wild show the importance of human connection

Chris loves the isolation and independence that his travels give him, but he also realises, sadly just before his death, that in order to appreciate the majesty and beauty around him, he needs to share the experiences he has with others. It is truly tragic that the people that Chris connected with on his last journey remembered him so vividly and fondly, and how keen they were to help him succeed in his quest. Chris had a deep appreciation for nature, but not so much for humanity, and it was his ignorance of the need for social connectedness and support which led directly to his death.
