How does Krakauer attempt to have the reader understand Chris McCandless in chapters 14 and 15? Is he an impartial narrator/ investigator/ interviewer/ biographer?

CHAPTERS 14 AND 15 PLEASE!

Krakauer compares his own experiences and feelings as a youth to McCandless'. His own life was similar in many way, and the way in which he shares his own story helps us to understand Chris. In my opinion, it would be impossible for Krakauer to be totally objective, as his many adventures and experiences cannot help but shine through when reading the text.
